Hey there! Can you believe it? March has just tiptoed into our lives, bringing with it a kaleidoscope of colors and scents outside my window. It's as if the world outside has decided to put on its finest floral attire just for us to behold. Well, at least here. So far in the north of Europe, March's arrival is like a little party, I think.
As I sit by my window, sipping on a cup of coffee, I'm greeted by a scene straight out of a Monet painting. The streets, once drab and mundane, are now bursting with life, adorned with delicate petals of pink, lavender, and daffodil yellow. There's something incredibly enchanting about witnessing nature's awakening right from the comfort of my own room. In the middle of the climate crisis (for which I have been an activist, but eventually now I feel helpless when it comes to), asphalt and houses in my streets are flourishing more and more. It is 8 even degrees Celsius!
As I take a moment to soak it all in, I can't help but feel a sense of gratitude wash over me. In a world that often feels chaotic and overwhelming, these simple moments of serenity remind me to slow down, to breathe, and to appreciate the magic that surrounds us. And so, whether it's the sight of a vibrant tulip or the sweet fragrance of a freshly blossomed rose, let's take a moment to pause and marvel at the wonders of nature. Yes, even in the big city like me.
After all, as the great poet Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, "The earth laughs in flowers." And oh, how sweet it is to hear her laughter from kids that I have been afraid sits in online echoing through the streets outside my window. Maybe there is a bit of hope?
Until next time, love, Lenna
