Another school day after Christmas break

Hey there,

So, I thought I'd share a glimpse into the saga that is my life here. Brace yourselves for the riveting narrative of a day that's as ordinary as it gets, yet somehow manages to be... well, unique. As I said in one of my my last posts, blending in is my professionalism.

It all begins with the subtle symphony of raindrops on my window, the kind that whispers tales of gloomy days ahead. Of course, this is nothern Europe, and the sky seems to have a subscription for a perpetual rain shower. My morning ritual? Dodging raindrops and strategically maneuvering my way to school without becoming a walking puddle.

Ah, my High School, where the hallways echo with the not-so-melodious notes of teen angst. Today's classes? A thrilling sequence of lectures featuring the riveting subjects of Biology and Trigonometry. Note the sarcasm. But hey, the day is brightened by the aroma of lunch packed from home and the sweet escape that is my paperback novel.

In the cafeteria, I find my silent corner, my sanctuary amidst the sea of chattering voices. You know, this school has this charming ability to make even the most mundane moments feel like they're part of a subdued indie film. Cue the melancholic soundtrack, please.

After surviving the academic ordeal, I often do different things. Hang out with a friend of mine, stay at the library, take the bus to the center of town with shops or something else. But today I went straight home to work on school to get back into it after Christmas break. I'm getting older and have to get better, I think. But honestly, can I take it all? This is probably just another New Year's resolution that ends within weeks.

Evenings here are a quiet affair. A rendezvous with my dad's dinner awaits, and the evening unfolds in the muted glow of the small-town streetlights. And then, like clockwork, I retreat to my room with the comfort of solitude and a good book, as the raindrops continue their nocturnal serenade.

And so concludes another day here – where the magic lies in the mundane, the ordinary acquires a peculiar charm, and every raindrop tells a story.

Till the next rainy day,

A quote that I love

“She was still a girl, a slight lovely girl who lay in bed and ate chocolates, a girl whose hair smelled like hyacinth and whose white scarves fluttered jauntily in the breeze; a girl as bewitching, and clever, as any girl who ever lived.”

Introduction Post

Greetings, dear readers,

Lenna here, pouring my thoughts and emotions into this digital sanctuary I call my blog. Today marks the beginning of a personal exploration—a journey through the pages of my life, the highs, the lows, and the uncharted territories in between. And maybe pictures I find on Pinterest or take myself.

As a small-town girl navigating the labyrinth of adolescence, I find solace in the pixels of this screen. It's here that I go to be on Tumblr as if I live in 2014 instead of 2024, create this blog as if it is 2006 and escape in my everyday life.

Life in my town, that you may never get the name of here, is a tad on the gloomy side. But, hey, it's home. And you know what? There's something oddly comforting about the perpetual rain and evergreen trees. It's like it and I understand each other—introverts in a world of noise.

So, here I am, penning down my silent symphony of musings. From navigating the halls of my school to contemplating the mysteries that seem to gravitate toward me, my life has taken a turn for the, well, unexpected. But I can't be too personal here. In fact I will try to keep it low-key.

I'm not one for grand adventures or sparkling personalities. Nope, I'm more of a book-in-hand, headphones-on kind of person. And speaking of books, I may have a slight obsession with the written word. Fictional worlds are my refuge, and sometimes, I wonder if reality can ever be as captivating.

In this little online diary of mine, expect a blend of awkward observations, introspective ramblings, and maybe a dash of sarcasm. So, if you're into musings from the shadows, tales of a perpetually clumsy girl, and for example Twilight or Taylor Swift, stick around.

With sincerity,

Lenna 💫
